About ADAT

Background
The Academic Database Assessment Tool (ADAT) was originally developed by
JISC Collections and executed by DataSalon. DataSalon collected source
data, developed the database and its original user interface, and hosted
the tool for several years. In November 2012, ADAT moved to a new home at
the Center for Research Libraries (CRL). The underlying database remained
the same, only with a newly developed web front end. ADAT is now a joint
project supported by both CRL and JISC Collections, to help libraries to
make informed decisions about investments in major bibliographic and full
text databases.
