CHANNELVIEW, Texas - A fast food restaurant in Texas was robbed and the
shift manager - who is pregnant - says she was fired after refusing to pay
the money back, reports CBS affiliate KHOU.

"I told them I'm not paying nothing," said Marissa Holcomb, former manager
of the Popeye's in Channelview. "I just had a gun to me. I'm not paying
the money."

The robbery took place March 31 and was captured on surveillance video,
according to the station.

Holcomb says that after the robbery, one of her managers gave her an
ultimatum: Pay the money back or you're fired.

"I don't think it's right because now I'm struggling for my family because
what I had to do to keep my life," said Holcomb, who is pregnant with her
fourth child.

KHOU reports Holcomb was fired from Popeye's less than 36 hours after the
robbery.

Now, Holcomb is left looking for a job -- while 5 months pregnant.

"I mean who's gonna call me? I'm 5 months pregnant," she said. "The fact
that I got robbed at gunpoint and it's like nobody cares."

The Popeye's robber is still on the loose.

A pregnant woman claims she was fired from her job at a Texas Popeyes
restaurant for refusing to pay back the money an armed robber stole from
the store, KHOU (Houston) is reporting.

Marissa Holcomb, who is pregnant with her fourth child, was working as
manager at the Popeyes location in Channelview, Texas on the afternoon of
March 31 when an armed robber entered the restaurant.

As if living through an armed robbery wasnt enough for the working mom,
Marissas real problems began two days after the robbery, according to The
New York Daily News. Her bosses told her that it was on her to pay back
the money that was robbed from the store. She refused.

She was fired.

For their part, the franchise that owns the Popeyes location where the
woman worked identified as Z&H Foods Inc. claimed that she wasnt fired
specifically for refusing to pay back the stolen money.

Holcomb claims that she was doing the best she could doing a busy lunch
rush; Popeyes Tuesday lunch special (two-piece chicken meal for $1.19)
brings a lot of customers, and the manager did the best she could to get
the money into the safe as fast as the could, but she had customers to
take care of.

Popeyes corporate headquarters refused to comment on this story, according
to KHOU.

Holcomb is now trying to find other jobs, but being heavily pregnant, she
doesnt believe her prospects at finding employment are good.
