I would like to add to Bobbie's message that the scheduled keynote speaker is
Professor Robert Langer of MIT. To quote the biographic profile that appeared
in the Nucleus, monthly newsletter of the Northeast Section of ACS, " Robert S.
Langer is the David H. Koch Institute Professor at the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology. Institute Professor (there are 14) is the highest honor that can
be awarded to a faculty member at MIT. Dr. Langer has written more than 1,175
articles. He also has approximately 800 issued and pending patents worldwide.
Dr. Langer's patents have been licensed or sub-licensed to over 250
pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology and medical device companies. He is the
most cited engineer in history."

More details about the Connections to Chemistry 2012 can be found on p. 7 of
the Nucleus on-line: http://www.nesacs.org/pub_nucleus/2012/Sept2012.pdf
