I haven't noticed bayberry in my local area but I have seen it it other parts 
of the county so we do have it here. 

I agree it doesn't look like an exact fit but maybe it's something close.

I agree it is not Epinotia lindana--the angles of the white patches aren't 
sharp enough.  One possibility might be 2907 
Strepsicrates smithiana – Bayberry Leaftier Moth.  Doesn't quite fit this one 
either and you can rule it out alltogether if you don't have bayberry (Myrica 
spp.).
