I'm not sure if this message just sent or not. My email acted strange, so I am making sure that it goes.
Lifers have been pouring in recently and it has been quite a bit of work to try to keep up. Sometimes I have more photos to work through than time to process them -- and I am retired! I have been going through the MPG plates for days trying to ID the attached moth and the best I can do is to give it a tentative ID of Swammerdamia caesiella. I hope someone among us can either confirm or correct my ID.
A couple of nights ago I had two Luna moths (different parts of the property) and last night one in a third location. That was quite a treat.
My recent lifers include:
0301 Homostinea curviliniella
0400 Tinea mandarinella
0708 Marmara fasciella
1167 Blastobasis pulchella
1221 Holcocera immaculella
1291 Coleophora laticornella
1455 Mompha stellella
2039 Symmetrischema striatella
2229 Battaristis vittella
2937 Phaneta parmatana
3004.1 Phaneta ambodaidaleia
3208 Notocelia rosaecolana
3375 Ancylis divisana
3521 Acleris semiannula
3623 Argyrotaenia quercifolia
6299 Speranza coortaria
6582 Iridopsis vellivolata
7292 Rheumaptera prunivorata
8118 Virbia opella
8924 Anagrapha falcifera
I hope the rest of you are finding plenty of moths as well. This has been an amazing spring for me.
