Hey everyone, I finally did it- I finished going through my pics from Umstead for the moth week event there from July 23-25. We had a pretty decent number of moths, at least for the triangle, with I think somewhere around 150 species. We had some really good finds, including some species that appear to be infrequently encountered in the state (according to MPG). However, as can be seen in my pics, the focus/highlights for me at Umstead were the hoppers. They were everywhere, and we had some fantastic finds, including some species that were probably first state records, and some species that haven't been recorded in the state in recent years. All in all, it was a fantastic time with some cool lifers, and it was great to see some folks that I hadn't seen since the last moth night. Cheers, and enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/hawk-eagle/sets/72157635012220499/ Kyle Kittelberger Raleigh, NC
