Moth'ers,

Every night is a step up with more numbers and species diversity.
Tonight, I had about 2 dozen moths at the sugar bait and a few even
showed up at the UV light on the front porch.

Species:

Eupsilia morrisoni--by far the most common species
Eupsilia vinulenta--4 or 5
Lithophane unimoda--4 or 5
Pyreferra hesperidago-1 (FOY)
Agonopteryx sp. possibly flavicomella (FOY)

and a new Lithophane for the year (image attached), which I think is
probably joannis #9893.2 but could be either hemina #9893 or petulca
#9889. L. joannis is a recently described species that closely
resembles the dark form of hemina and petulca. The larva feed
exclusively on buckeye (Aesculus) which is very common here.

I collected it and will be sending it off for barcoding. It will be
interesting to see what it turns out to be.
