Hi Paul, 
    Metaxaglaea  violacea [9945] is a moth of the Coastal Plain.  It was 
actually identified by Dale Schweitzer from a specimen collected in 
the Southern New Jersey Pine Barrens.
   I also have a photo from a specimen here on the Delmarva Peninsula.
   I was just wondering where your specimen was photographed?
