I recently moved from GRUB Legacy to GRUB 2. The transition under Ubuntu was
fairly painless. How the two are configured couldn't be more different... I
had to learn a lot about GRUB 2 in order to get my SpinRite floppy disk image
to boot... It works! And it is very powerful!
