So Ruby is a requirement - and all of its dependencies - if you want to
format documentation. But it's entirely optional to do so. Getting ruby for
most platforms is usually close to trivial. And I think asciidoctor should
be platform neutral. If it isn't packaged for other platforms that might just
be due to lack of effort at the distro.
As far as the Unknown thing - that's a mystery to me. What version of cmake
were you using ?
