Care to share your filter > or relevant parts of your muttrc? When I use mutt, I use "L" ( reply to list), this addresses the reply only to this list. If you look at the duplicate mails, you see that all have stuff in the Cc: line. In mutt, "G" (reply to all) gives this behavior. That is the standard user interface.
