Here is the info for the blood drive for Bill Bates, who is currently in M.D.
Anderson undergoing treatment for leukemia. Because Bill is our NASA colleague
and long-time member of NAL and the NAL Board, we are happy that MDA, JSC HR
and Space Station, have invited us to co-host the blood drive.
The blood drive is on Wednesday August 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the MDA
mobile facility at the University Baptist Church parking lot on Middlebrook
Drive in Clear Lake City. More details are included in the attached flyer.
If our members or their friends and relatives are able to donate blood or
platelets, they can register with MDA. Information on what to do is included in
the flyer.
I will be volunteering all day and will welcome help. To volunteer to help,
