It wasn't meant to single your answer out Andy(which I said was good advice), only to illustrate that the questions are sometimes vague and could be answered easier if a little more background is offered. For instance; I would like to know if any anti-virus program would ferret out a PC virus that I might unwittingly forward along while operating in OSX, or would I have to be using Windows at the time for it to work? I used to routinely warn people that an attachment generated by me was safe, but anything I forwarded from someone else was risky. Is it safe to assume that these programs will find all cross-platform bugs regardless of the operating system in use at the time?
