I have used CCC for years. Used to be shareware to version 3.4.7.  I think it’s 
$40 now. Has saved my pancetta a number of times. Last big one was when the 
drive in my iMac toasted (replaced by Apple - it had known issues). Does 
bootable, full, incremental backups. I have had some issues with TM never with 
CCC.
