Several members have reported using CCC with no difficulties. My own
choice is SuperDuper!, which has never given the slightest trouble. I
use Time Machine and Time Capsule for constant backups, but at least
once a month I use SD to duplicate my whole laptop's contents onto a
separate hard drive as a bootable emergency disc. Periodically I boot
from that one, just to make sure everything's still good. It always is.
