Hi Judy,
My first setup had just the data in the detail and the button I wanted
to tab to... "ADD"... in the footer. I've now moved the button the
detail and it works fine... Thank you again for that solution Ray.

lol! No... but although the "solution" seems a bit of a workaround
instead of a "real" solution... I'm happy with it 'cause it does the
job simply and without a lot of fuss and coding in events... which was
Rays' other suggestion.
