[mso] setting default view for word docs (normal, outline , web)

Does anyone know how to set the default view for a MS word document so  that 
every time you open the document it defaults to a particular view.  For example 
the doc will always open to the outline view or the normal  view. I have some 
documents that open to one view and others that open  a different way. Not sure 
why or how to control it.
