I'm not sure if this works the same way in Works as it does in Excel, but in
Excel there really is no way to control the scroll using the scroll bars,
but if you use the arrow keys on your keyboard, you can control the movement
much better...and if you want to select large areas, hold the shift key down
while using the arrow keys.

But, like I said, this may be different in Works. This group is really not
for Works questions, since Works isn't really part of Microsoft
Office....but you can give that a try.

(but I do try very hard to keep this group on topic, and stick to Office
questions.)

Subject: [mso] scroll adjustment

I have a toshiba laptop with a touchpad. It has windows xp home on it as
well as msworks. When I use the spreadsheet, moving the pointer causes the
speradsheet to rapidly scroll sidewise or up/down. Very hard to control and
work with. I have gone into control panel and under mouse, adjust the
settings for mouse, to slow it down. Seems to have no affect on the
spreadsheet problem.
How do I fix this problem? Thanks for your help.

Russ
