To be honest, this problem seem to be related in jaws and office itself. How should I put it.... Hmmmm It's a little dialogg box which pop ups and you can type in your search which take away the ability of focusing on the word edit area. Its like MS has to put a special mode when screen reader is turn on or a addon which will pop up a box like spell check where the editing ability is there too. I am sure with some scripts writing with jaws, you are able to read the selected text after you found them but editing ability will be not on the screen reader but on the actual application. There's a way to work around it like intercept the information before the text is selected but of course, the word or any office application will not be happy if they are told what to do beforehand and it might cause crashes and so on. =20 Best and regards, Thomas Nathan Chan -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rex Leslie Howard Jr. Sent: Saturday, November 23, 2002 8:36 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] question about find and replace I am using windows XP with Office XP and I also use Jaws 4.05. I am wondering if there is any way to have Jaws speak the current line on which an entry in the find box is focused? In other words, there are times when I need to remove paragraph tags, some of the tags are legitimate, and some are not. I would like to be able to read the line where the paragraph mark is being shown so that I can quickly determine whether or not it is a necessary mark or one in error. Is there anyway that this can be done with Jaws? Thanks in advance for any help.
