I didn't say to "load" the backup...I said you can just "open" the
backup..then you will have both psts open and you can just drag those
folders from the backup to your new pst and then close the backup.

"Opening" the backup won't overwrite the other one

I did delete the files. I have a back up copy but it is about a month or
more old and I don't want to load that one, made a lot of changes since then

I do have a hard copy of the names I lost, guess I will spend an evening
retyping!

If you deleted them, they will be in your Deleted Items in Outlook

If you PERMANENTLY deleted them, then no, there's no way to restore you pst
unless you had a backup copy...if you DID have a backup copy, just go to
Outlook's File menu and choose Open> Outlook Data File...then just drag the
folders from the backup to the other one, then right click on the backup one
and choose "Close"

If you didn't have a backup, I guess you now know how important that is :(
