I am approaching being brain dead on this because so many people are telling me
different ways of doing a markup. I'm not an accountant (not even a
bookeeper but this task fell to me)
We experienced a pretty heavy raw material price increase. Our president
decided that we would only pass on what our increase % is. (no markup in the
raw material cost as we normally would do)

Old Price =  $8.87   New Price= $13.38    Difference = $4.51
Percent = 4.51 / 8.87

Is this right? How am I supposed to do this.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks,
Vicky
