Thanks Linda I didn't think there was any Auto hide but it sure is doing
it - - - will try your suggestion - - - if that doesn't work will try a
reinstall

I don't think you CAN set the Word menu bar to autohide...can you?
I know if the menu bar is completely missing, deleting Word's data key fixes
that, but I've never heard of it autohiding.

pointer goes to it - - - can not find any way to stop it and it to show all
