Check out this website http://www.lbetoolbox.com/index.htm?ref=otoolbox they have Toolbox for Outlook that not only can delete duplicate emails, contacts and appointments but also put all your contacts in Proper Name format. -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Linda F. I've always had to do it manually. Two ways I've found that *sort* of make it easier. 1. Go to the View menu and choose Current View>Phone List. This lists them all in a grid which makes it easier to find and delete the duplicates. Or 2. Export the whole contact list to an Excel file. Then delete them all from Outlook. Then import them back into Outlook from Excel and put a check in the box in the Import Wizard that says do not allow duplicates (but this will obviously only find exact duplicates) Sorry...this is the best way I have come up with to do this. Maybe somebody else knows a better way. Good luck! I have Office 2000 and have a couple of thousand contacts. Because of a link up with a Psion palmtop many of these are duplicates. Other than a long manual deletion of the duplicates is there any other way to get rid of them? Suggestions appreciated!
