You can check where your templates are by opening Word.
Menu Tools - Options - File Locations.

There you will find the User Templates & Workgroup templates.


Your User templates are by default in the following location:
C:\Documents And Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates.
That is where your Normal.dot (alias Blank Document) resides.

Your Workgroup templates may be blank, but can be located anywhere.
Just select the title Workgroup Templates and click the modify button to
select your desired location.
