It's more than likely a setting in IE which is not a part of
Office, but rather a part of Windows, which probably makes
it off topic here. At the risk of Linda's wrath, Try going
to Tools, Internet Options, the Programs tab in IE and
making sure that Notepad is listed as the html editor. IF
that doesn't work, you'd be better off asking in a Windows
Group, the best of which is the WinTips-Tricks group over on
Yahoo groups,

Also, along with a more descriptive subject line, you should
trim the [sp*m] out of the subject line, so other's sp*m
filters don't consign your email to the junk mail bin.

Kay, what does happen? Does it open another program? Does
nothing happen? Did you install anything else new? =3D20
Also, a piece of advice, make your subject a little more
descriptive than simply Office to increase your changes of
getting a response. Many of us scan the subjects and only
open the ones that we may have knowledge of or have an
interest in. =3D20
