Sorry Jim...that was my error...I was thinking Outlook XP instead of Windows
XP...duhhh...that's why I made it a 10...whoops

I hear ya on the MS stuff...tho I must admit my experiences with both
Windows XP and Office XP have been good, over all...especially after the
Office patches

I did finally find it in the MS KB and got it fixed (except mine was 9.0
of course). Then naturally another problem cropped up with the
Registration Wizard -- something about information missing or incorrect.
Turns out that too is a permissions problem and required more registry
editing.

Microsoft is very effective at annoying me. There should be NO reason
whatsoever that legitimate users have to go such lengths to figure out
what the !@#$% dialog boxes actually mean. And God help the poor user
who twitches violently when "registry editing" is mentioned.

Such petty annoyances was the reason I resisted installing Windows XP
although we've owned it for over a year. And this wasn't an upgrade it
was a clean install, except that we had to install our old programs into
XP. Maybe if we had installed Office XP at the same time it would have
been clean and neat. Maybe not.
