It depends on the version you have. Some had a bug that an update will fix.
However, a good way to fake out Word with many page number printing
problems is to print the pages in reverse. It kicks Word in the butt and
makes it pay attention.

Subject: [mso] Publisher & Word booklet printing for HP on XP

I've looked at the archived posts regarding problems with booklet printing
on Publisher 2002 using Windows XP. Doesn't look like a solution was found
back in June 2002. And the HP support people say it's an XP problem.

The problem seems to be that both XP and HP skip pages when printing
two-sided booklet documents. So that instead of pages 1, 3, 5, 7, etc. and
then you turn over and print 8, 6, 4, 2, you get page 1, 5, 9, etc. and the
same skipping on the way back, so nothing matches up properly.

In Word, the situation is hopeless. But in Publisher, I can ask for just
pages 1-2 and get both sides and all 4 pages, as someone earlier mentioned.
So you have to cue each sheet separately.

Has anyone found a work-around for this?

I heard that others have started using ClickBooks for paginating book
documents. Any word on how that meshes with Word, for instance?
