Go to Slide Sorter View first.  The first slide will be selected (blue box 
around it).  Press and hold the SHIFT key and select your last slide.  This 
will select all slides between #1 slide and the last slide.

Now select the basic animation and/or slide transition you want from the 
toolbar.  The default is "On Mouse Click" so you will have to custom animate 
for more fancy animations.
