[mso] Possible off topic: Word/Excel closing when RUN is used?

With any member of the Office 2000 family open, and you open the RUN command
line, but enter a dos command that works in cmd.exe (Not command.com) has
anyone observed Office abruptly closing? I am trying to troubleshoot a
lengthy macro. Thank you.
