Well...you DON'T have to close the application!
You can just click on the file again or click open again...or use Alt + Tab
to flip over to your files and click it again.
If you don't provide the password, the file won't open. So yes, you DO need
to make another attempt to open the file. But there's no need to close the
app just go to the file and try to open again.

SOMETIMES, trying to open a password protected Word document, I forget the
password and have to retype it. Problem is, the window for the password
doesn't pop back up again; instead, I have to close the application and
click inside the folder on the file name again - before I have a second
chance to put in the password.
Is there anyway to type in the password again on that original screen
without starting all over?
