Are you using any spam blocking software or is your AV program set to scan email automatically? Usually if Outlook all of a sudden starts loading more slowly, it's becuz of an add-in that has to load when you open Outlook. That's about all I can think of. Outlook 2003 has always taken about 20 to 30 seconds to load here, but I've always had some add-ins running for security and spam reasons, so I've just gotten used to it. Hi All, I have noticed recently that my outlook xp is loading up slowly. When I use my shortcut key to open it up it takes about 20-30 or more seconds to load. The size of the outlook.pst file is just under 200 megs and I have sub folders but these didn't seem to affect it in the past. I wonder if anyone could come up with a reason why this might be happening. I did have a spyware problem but cleaned it all off however wonder if it did some damage. I have repaired office afterwards and even uninstalled it and reinstalled it but no change. It used to pop up in say 5-10 seconds after using my shortcut keystroke or even entering on the outlook xp icon on the desktop but now well I am puzzled as to what its doing while attempting to load. Many thanks for any help, Paul. ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
