Parker,

It's not nearly as clean as with Outlook or Word, but you can do this in
VBA. I have done it with Access reports, I don't see why you couldn't do it
with an email. There are some interesting issues though. Like having to
use the CHR(*) for linefeeds, and the like.

Good luck, Parker. As far as I know, the only way to do this is with a mail
merge.

But, you *could* create the email, save it as a template, then send that
template to each person individually...but, that would be even more involved
then the mail merge, I would think.

If it were me (since Outlook macros are way weird), I would create the
letter in Word and run the macro recorder in there, while you set up the
merge, then you could use THAT macro to do it. (since Outlook doesn't even
have a macro recorder).

But, you might luck out by going to Slipstick.com....they do have some
addins and macros for download...if anybody has this one, I would say it
would be them.

Good luck.

Subject: [mso] Outlook Distribution List

When using a distribution list in Outlook 2000, the names of each member of
the distribution list shows up in the "To" box when the e-mail is received
unless you use the "BCC" box. Then none of the names show up in the "To"
box, but you have to put at least one e-mail address (real or made-up) in
the "To" box in order to send it. I know you can avoid that problem by using
the Word mail merge feature, but it is a fairly long, involved process and
we would like to avoid it.

What I would like, is to find a procedure, macro, or add-in for Outlook that
would let me select names from a list, create one e-mail, and have Outlook
send each individual selected an e-mail with only their e-mail address in
the "To" box. Does anyone know of a way to do this, or a product that will
allow Outlook to do this?

Parker Renaud
