[mso] Re: Outlook Contact phone number display

Dialing in my area with a 1 for a local does not work. I get the "Your
call cannot be completed as dialed. . ." message. This was not an issue
with Office '97 but something changed in Office XP. Unless maybe it's a
O/S issue.

I don't know how to remove the 1 if you include the area code (or if you
even can), but I can tell you I live in an area where the area code must
be
dialed, but the calls are local and dialing with the 1 or without it
doesn't
make any difference here. Does dialing with the 1 in your area not
work?

I'm trying to find a method to make the Office XP Outlook Contact phone
numbers not have the '+1' in front of local telephone numbers. =3D20

=3D20

Example: =3D20

+1 (819) 555-1212

=3D20

Should display

            (819) 555-1212

=3D20

Where (819) is my local area code. I'm also in a city that has a
bi-state metro area that includes a second area code. The second area
code has to be dialed with 10-digits but it's a local call and therefore
does not need the '+1' in the number.

=3D20

I'm using Office XP SP2 with the latest updates installed on Windows 2K
O/S. Any help would be appreciated.

=3D20

Thanks!

=3D20

Dennis
