[mso] Outlook Categories in OL 2007

Thank you for your response David. However, this does not work. My previous
list of named categories does not
show up on the screen when I perform the below sequence of steps you recommend.

In addition, when I take the steps you recommend to make the
item colored, the program removes the name I assigned to it and replaces it
with a color.

If I were to recategorize all my existing named
categories, with the situation as it stands, I would have to write a list and
put the colors I've changed each category to next to each name.

This is far to much to remember. I have over 50 named categories of
contacts.

Anyone else?

Actions/Categorize/All Categories should give you a list of all categories
and the color buttons ascribed to them. I think it will include the
categories you ascribed previously. To add to more than one category you
need to control/click the second and subsequent.

To make the item colored go into Tools/Organise/Automatic
Formatting/Add/Condition/More Choices and click the Category button. Then OK
and set the font color.

double-click header or footer area.

type in the word Page, and a space.

click Quick parts (in the Insert group).

choose Field.

scroll down and choose Page.

choose a format - eg 1, 2, 3.

click OK.

type in the word OF after the page number.

click Quick parts - field. choose NumPages.

click OK.

that is a long way - am looking for a shorter way now:

ok, double-click in header or footer area.

click Page Number - Current Position and scroll down to Page X of Y -
it is in there. takes a bit of finding.

Subject: [mso] Outlook 2003 : MAPI error 0X80040107
From: Shyamal Gupta <esgee47@xxxxxxxxx>

I've been trying to import my GMail contacts/addresses into Outlook 2003,
but the process stops midway with the message :
"Translation Error

An error occurred while importing/exporting and the import/export was
terminated. MAPI error 0X80040107 was reported. Please try import/export
again later."

I tried this several times, and also got the MS error reporting message.
Which I allowed to send to Microsoft. No idea if they'll send me some
solution or other for this error.

In the meanwhile, any ideas ?

Using Windows XP Pro SP3 on P4 dual core 2.4 MHz with 4 GB RAM.

I've installed only Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook in MS Office 2003 Pro.

Thanks.

I am sure they won't. That reporting mechanism, which is available to all
companies running MS-compatible software is solely for their benefit, not
yours (directly).
