I know it needs to be turned off for each folder individually and I have
not found a way to turn it off globally. When you say it has been
creeping back in, do you mean you turn it off on a specific folder and
then suddenly it turns itself back on? I am not familiar with that
behavior, except in the case of using different computers on a network
-- unless you have roaming profiles in place, each time you log onto a
new computer, the Outlook setup is specific to that computer so you
would need to change any settings to reflect your preference. But if
you're using a standalone computer then I'm not sure why it would be
doing that.

Subject: [mso] Outlook 2003 Reading Pane -- Pain in the ---!!!

I am a new user of OL2003 (and quite pleased so far) and am working
through
the learning curve. Can someone tell me how to disable the Reading
Pane? I
have turned it OFF under the View/Reading Pane/OFF but it seems to creep
back in unexpected. I thought that I read that it needs to be turned
OFF
for each folder. Is this true and if so, is there a simpler way than
accessing each folder and setting it OFF? What did I miss?

Humbly

Chuck
