Hi Linda,

AFAIK, you've never been able to 'swap' Address books between OL and OE
natively...

And you're right about needing to export your address book to a file - but
it's actually the Contacts folder that you need to export, not the Address
Book.

So are you saying that with OL open, you don't have a File > Import and
Export menu?
If that's the case, then it should be there, and you may need to either do a
'Repair' and/or reset the menus/toolbars... I just need to find the command
line switch that does that... Will come back...

Cheers

     :
: Sorry to keep posting beta questions in here, but I've
     :searched the MS
:groups and see others posting this problem and getting no
     :answer...and I've
:sent it to some Outlook groups and got no answer, so I'm
     :gonna ask you
:people in here who are using the Office 2003 beta...
     :
     :_____________
     :
:Is anyone else running this beta and can help me?
     :
     :Here's my problem
     :
:I am running Outlook 2003 beta 2, with the most recent
     :Technical Refresh
     :Patch
     :
:I want to share my Outlook Address book (I have my
     :contacts in my Contacts
:Folder and have the option checked to "show this as an
     :Outlook Address Book)
:with Outlook Express 6 but I can't figure out how to do
     :it in either Outlook
:or OE. When I go into OE and try to Import it, it asks for a file
:location...so I assume I have to Export it to a file in
     :Outlook first?
:However, in Outlook 2003 there is no long an
     :Import/Export command in the
:File Menu or in the Address Book itself...so I'm lost as
     :to how to do this
     :
:Why isn't there an Import/Export feature in Outlook's
     :File Menu anymore?? I
:use this a LOT to bring in info from Excel to make new
     :contacts folders
:etc....if we no longer have Import/Export capabilities
     :how do we do this
     :stuff now?
     :
:Can anyone point me in the right direction?
     :
     :Thanks.
