[mso] Outlook 2003 - Exporting .csv

I'm trying to export a .csv file of my Contacts to import into my gmail
account. So I select my Contacts folder first (not sure whether necessary),
then I click on the File menu, Import and Export, Export to a file, Comma
Separated Values (Windows). I get a dialog box stating, "Microsoft Outlook
cannot start the required translator. The feature is not currently
installed. Would you like to install it now?" I click Yes, I see Windows
Installer flash briefly on the screen, and then I am back at the Export to a
file dialog box, with Comma Separated Values (Windows) still selected. But
if I then click Next, I get the same dialog box about the translator not
being installed.

The only options I seem to be able to use to export are Access and Excel.
So I tried exporting to Excel and saving the file as a .csv. But Gmail did
not recognize and couldn't import. I don't have any other problems with
Office. I did do a Detect and Repair under Help anyway, but nothing
changed. I have restarted Outlook and my PC. Any suggestions would be
welcomed.

Thank you,
Fiona

Subject: [mso] Onenote - Files disappeared

I finally dug out my Onenote after about a year... to have another play...
once I realised you don't drag other files in there (why I thought that I
don't know) I started making copies of my notepad files where is where I
keep all my notes which are totally in a mess and of course don't have a
beautiful tree view (bliss) or a really good focused search (seer bliss)
.... like OneNote....but...

I could not find some files I'd made a year ago when I was playing with
then....and so I went to backup... I opened the backup files and all my
'normal' files have gone... all these are backup files.. so they are there
but all in backup ... I'm using windows 2000.

however soon I will have a nice new BIG drive with xp on it .. and can start
again so that's not what is really worrying me... but I don't know what I
did to mess this up....I've looked via the prog and via win explorer and can
see only the backup folder and the files within it...

I'd also like to know of any good OneNote sites

ta Tina
