This usually happens when Office is improperly installed under the wrong
user rights, when logged in under admin rights. I don't know the exact
cause or fix, but chances are if you log into the system with admin
rights it'll work ok, but when you login as the user, it won't. If that
does happen, it has something to do with the security rights and how the
system was setup. Sorry I don't know more details. Unfortunately, once
fixed no admin has ever bothered to come back with details of he fix.

Subject: [mso] Office XP & ME
Hi All
I recently installed Office Xp on Windows ME connected to a Windows 2000
server. Now for every user that logs on to that computer, I have to
partially re-install Office. The message one gets when trying to enter
one of the Office programs is: "The action is only valid for products
that are currently are installed". Any Ideas on how to make the Office
programs available to any user without the need to re-install it every
time. Errol
