Office XP contains Word 2002, etc.

Office 95, 97, XP, 2003 (98 was Mac...)

OK..I am confused...can someone tell me or point to a site that explains the
many different versions of office?

I got the Standard/ Professional/Professional -Special Edition/ Developer
part down pat..but is 2002 the same as XP? if not..which one is newer? which
one is the absolute newest?
what order did they come in? Office95, Office98, ?????
