Glad it worked out. I turnoff everything that starts up automatically
and NEVER used the Office Shortcut Bar. Every little bit of resources
helps sometimes. /glenda=20

I found the Startup folder under Windows\Start Menu\Programs|Startup,
found the Office Shortcut Bar, dragged it to the desktop, kissed it
goodbye and deleted it.
Thank you so much Glenda.
I wouldn't be so anxious to get rid of it but I can't update Office
anymore because it's 97 Professional and I couldn't access any of the
components without updating.
Really appreciate your help. Also it took up 4% of resources.
