But 2007 IS way cool...I'm enjoying MOST of it so far. Dian D. I wasn't entirely surprised to hear that the assistant got corrupted - there are some buggy things in Office, definitely. And I agree with you, Office XP is my least favorite version - I am a HUGE 2003 fan. They'll have to pry it out of my cold dead fingers when they release the next version (if they ever do, LOL). Thanks for the tip Dian! To get it fixed...FIRST clear out your temp folder (see www.mousetrax.com/maintain.html). But here's the fix I used... * when I get the Office Assistant error while working (switching between version, which is a common cause) of Word... * I flip over to Outlook (which I always have open) because OL seems to work with the assistant better. And because I always have OL open, I have learned that the Office assistant (Rocky in my case) can become corrupt in Word when I switch version, but with OL open all the time, Rocky still appears in the open version of OL. So I move to OL and turn him off from there. If he's not on, I turn him on and then turn him off. * Then I reopen Word and that has fixed the problem each time I've tried it. Give it a shot. Good luck.=20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu at the top.
