Opps! I didn't ask if the '10' was still the C drive...if so I'd follow Dian's advice, but I'll move the swap file to new drive and since you'll have 512 ram, make swap 800-1gig static. you can use the system to monitor swap to fine tune. Use minimum of resources for display or set for best performance, and turn unneeded services to manual or disable, that'll help your multi-tasking. <paul> /g said: The new drive is 7200. The "old" 10gb is about 2 years old and is 7200 as well. -----Original Message----- From: Paul Winkfield [mailto:paladin007@xxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Tuesday, August 26, 2003 3:31 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: Office Advice Hi Glenda This is tough, is the 80gig a 5400 or 7200rpm? if new drive is faster, I'd like everything on the 80; use the 10 for storage, the 10 gig must be several years old...maybe use as a backup drive. <paul> ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
