Valerie I think you will need to go into each mail account and set each one individually to use your new settings (Tools>Email Accounts>View or Change etc etc then it's in "More Settings"). The mail accounts don't automatically recognise the overall Outlook connections. I changed the mail settings in Outlook to reflect no dial-up - but each time I close Outlook it will only open in dial-up mode.
