It's not Spam...it's a virus that masquerades as an email from
Microsoft...it is NOT from Microsoft....MICROSOFT NEVER SENDS YOU
ATTACHMENTS

Subject: [mso] Mystery email things (Outlook Express)

I keep getting messages such as this:
"This e-mail in its original form contained one or more attached files that
were infected with a virus or worm, or contained another type of security
threat.

The following attachments were infected and have been repaired:"

The "attachment" that is included is the Microsoft Home Page. I get one or
two a day. The messages are essentially the same, and are (allegedly)From
Customer Support or Symantic Virus Reporting or something. The Subject line
is usually "Critical Update Patch" or "Security Alert".

I confess that I looked at the first one I got, but I did not open any
attachment. Now I just keep deleting these messages, but I am puzzled as to
why I am receiving them in the first place. Is it just run of the mill Spam?

Regards and thanks,

Carolyn Phillips
