Hi Tiffani,
unless you have a very compelling reason to merge cells in Excel, I would 
advise you not to. Merged cells create a lot of problems in Excel, as for 
example when you need to copy or move them, and IMHO they're far more 
trouble than they're worth. If you are using merge to format anything on 
the same line, like centering a title across multiple columns, take a look 
at the "Center across selection" in the format cells option.
