Hi Anne. I have always installed all service patches for every version of
Office I have ever used and I have never had the service patches cause
Office to run slower. Actually, I've never had a service patch, in itself,
cause me ANY problems. Generally, if you are having problems with Office,
it's because of some OTHER software you are running that is trying to play
with Office and Office doesn't wanna play. I seriously doubt Michele's
Office slowdown problems are caused by patches...I would be more likely to
suspect addins or antivirus programs,etc.

Michele

If you have been dutifully downloading product updates I suspect this may
be the source of your problem - as you may have noticed I've been posting
to this list about similar difficulties for a few weeks now.

Am now totally unsure what to do with my Office XP installation as I am
having so many different problems with various components! Feel like
removing all the updates and reinstalling them one by one until I find the
culprit. Trouble is, there are so many updates I hardly know where to
begin!

Good luck with fixing your glitches

Anne
