Are you using Outlook exchange? i.e. on a corporate network? If so ask your IT guys - they probably have backups etc. If it is on your own computer and not exchange I suspect you will not be able to recover it. However I am suspicious about your statement " I did a search for ".pst" and nothing showed up" because I would have expected at least the current (new) Outlook.pst would have been found. If there were really no .pst files you need to search deeper, including hidden files and folders, etc. Don't use desktop search. This only looks at indexed files (basically documents) use the wretched pup , er, Search Companion. There is a link to it on the bottom of the search window. Just do a search for it. If it has been overwritten it is possible a data recovery expert could recover some or all of it but that is VERY expensive, I believe.
