Hi Marty, are you still needing help?  I am not sure what your data entry
functions or work processes are on your form, but you can add the button to
update the date on the click event of the button or you can add the code to
the afterupdate or exit of a field you update.  So where you put the code
can depending on what data you are editing or how you want your form to
work.

If on a button, for example, in the design view of the form, place a
button, it can be an image or a command button and give it a meaningful
name.  Then open the properties box, find the OnClick and click into the 3
dots on the right of the row and select 'code builder' and place this code
between the lines (substituting the name of your field.

    Me.DateField= Now()

If you would rather the data change after you have edited some other field,
simply use the same process, but place it in the OnExit or AfterUpdate
event of the field to be edited.
