I recently migrated from Gmail to Outlook.com using Windows Live Mail as an
intermediary. I will caution it was painstaking moving the mail, but overall
the process worked well.

A longtime Outlook user, your post was interesting to me as I personally
experience far more people moving the other way (Outlook to Gmail).
I'd love to have your personal reflections on the motivation for your move.
