I sent this the other day, but have been having a lot of hassles getting queries through and have had no response, so am trying again!!! We had MailMerges set up in Word 2000 (and then XP and 2003) selecting English, Chinese and Russian text depending on which language a student's parents use and merging from data files in Excel. All great! Developments have moved on and we now want to use Access, but if we import data tables from Excel, Access puts up little squares in place of the Chinese characters. As far as we have established, the problem has nothing to do with Internet Explorer Encoding or Windows Regional settings but with the Office programmes themselves. Anybody got any ideas?
